Product Information FAQ:

How Many Extensions Are Required?

Without seeing your hair its very hard to suggest an exact amount, here is a general guide of how many extensions are required.

50 To add highlights, add minimal length or disguising hair damage.
100  to add volume and some length to existing long hair
150/180  to add length and volume to short hair
180/200+ to add Over the Top volume and length or for very short hair wanting very long hair.

How Do I Apply Reapply Them?

You can easily slid the micro bead back up the hair (how often you will need to do this depends on how fast your hair grows). Micro beads have between 2-5% fall out (like you natural hair) but the hair can be reused over and over. You can also reuse the micro beads several times. Depending on how well you treat your hair the longer it will last up to 6 months even longer.

How Thick Is Each
Strand?

We supply and suggest 0.5 or 0.8 grams as it will achieve a more natural results and will not leave 'gaps' between the extensions nor will it add, added pressure to your scalp.

What Is The Difference Between These And Easy Loops?

This method is similar to the micro loops (without the loop) so you use a pulling needle so you can achieve the best result. The micro beads supplied are non slip unlike other micro beads, they are extremely strong, secure, and non damaging to your natural hair unlike all other methods. They also have screw like grooves, so once closed with the pliers the beads have a lock tight grip.

What Kind Of Hair Do We Supply?

We supply A Grade Asian Remy 100% human hair. It is not so much where the hair comes from, it's more to do with the quality of the hair and if it is Remy. Remy will reduce tangling as the hair falls in the same direction. So regardless of where the hair is from
Asia, India or is European you can get good and bad quality. We prefer Asian hair as it is very shiny and falls very straight (it does not require to be straightened as often and curls very easily).

Can They Be Coloured?

Pre bonded, the hair has a protective coating. For example ‘Wefts’ can be coloured easily because the hair is still ‘raw’ but this means you have to cut and pre glue each strand yourself and it will cause the glue to brake down easily and fall out because the tips are much softer.

Pre bonded hair doesn’t colour as well because of the ‘protective coating’. This is to prevent damage during the application of the I-tip bond. We do not suggest colouring hair extensions anyway because it causes unwanted damage to the hair as there are no natural oils produced unlike your natural hair. Bleached or wavy styles have gone through a longer chemical process so can be damaged easier. If you do choose to colour the hair we would only suggest going one to two shades darker, you can also tone the extensions.

Can They Be Straightened?

Yes the extensions can be straightened and curled. We suggest using a protective spray. You should only use up to 140 degrees on any extensions. If you do use higher heat the hair will require further treatment to maintain healthy extensions and prevent extensive damage.

How Do I Remove The Extensions?

It is very important to remove them correctly or your natural hair may be removed also. It is normal for a few natural pieces of hair to come out with the extensions as this is just normal shedding but if you are pulling it out from the roots then this is incorrect.

We suggest using the pliers to open the beads, Use the pliers to pinch the sides of the flattened bead, this should open the bead, you may have to pinch the bead in more than one place, You should only need the open it slightly and the bead will slide down the natural hair. At first this seems a little difficult but will become quite easy after a little practice. You or your client should not experience any pain in this process nor should excessive amounts of natural hair be pulled out.

How Do I Prolong The Life Of My Extensions?

All hair extensions are 'dead hair' and needs help to assist it in having a 'real' healthy look and feel. Not only has the hair been cut off the head but it has been striped and re coloured to achieve the desired result. So like your natural hair, extensions have been damaged during the bleaching process and like your natural hair the lighter you go the more damage is caused and need to be replenished.

Hair extensions will damage and deteriorate without the proper care, (please refer to the care instructions below), but you can also rebuild and hydrate the extensions with the correct care and maintenance.

We suggest L’Oreal Kerastase, Matrix or Sebastian  Shampoo and Conditioners and use a protective Spray such as GHD. These items can be purchase from any good Salon. Don’t be fooled by thinking you can use any salon shampoo as many contain protein which will strip the protective coating and cause the hair to feel brittle, dry and will damage the extensions. Heavy conditioners can also damage the hair.

DO NOT PULL your extensions INTO A TIGHT PONY TAIL as this will damage your own hair. Always start with a loose pony tail at the neck, then secure or twist up and secure.

DO NOT SUBMERGE YOUR HEAD UNDER WATER when SWIMMING. TRY NOT WETTING YOUR HAIR to much. CHLORINE, SALT AND SUN will DAMAGE your hair. Always wash your hair as stated after being at the BEACH, SPA, and SAUNA; or IN THE SUN for long periods.

DO NOT GO TO SLEEP WITH DAMP HAIR It's not good for your own hair, and it could break your extensions.

DO NOT leave the BOND-JOINS to DRY NATURALLY AFTER SHAMPOOING. Blow dry gently on a low setting to remove water from the joins and your natural hair near the scalp. You can let the extensions dry naturally

DO NOT use a treatment conditioner as it many react badly with the protective treatments added to the extensions during there Manufacturing process, often leading to a rough dry feel that can then cause breakage. Always use a light weight conditioner and a smoothing/nourishing serum

How much solution should be used?

Please ensure there is AT LEAST 250mls of solution in the container when applying a spray tan. This is to ensure an even flow of solution is achieved, as not holding the handgun level throughout the application will cause an uneven coat of solution.

What is DHA?

DHA The Master Ingredient DHA is derived from raw sugar cane and fermented glycerine. It is a colourless sugar that interacts with dead cells on the skin’s surface to darken it over a period of several hours.

What Ingredients is found in Solutions on the market?

Ethoxy Diglycol  Helps to prevent separation of the other cosmetic tanning solution ingredients and helps them absorb into skin’s outermost layer more effectively.

FD&C Colouring A colouring agent that is certified as safe for use in food, drugs, and cosmetics.

Fragrances Sometimes used to make the cosmetic tanning solution smell pleasant, but these are often used just to minimize the scent of DHA.

Glycerin – Also called glycerine and glycerol. This is used to maintain skin’s natural moisture balance and to help oils in skin do their job better. It also helps to thicken cosmetic tanning solutions.

Immediate vs. Delayed – Most solutions contain both an immediate and a delayed tanner. The prime ingredient for delayed tanning is of course, DHA. The prime ingredient for immediate tanning varies but usually is called a cosmetic bronzer.

Polysorbates These are fatty acids that are used to thicken up a solution and serve as an emollient, which prevents water loss while lubricating, soothing and softening skin.
